Green Works' new neighbour

Sherwin Williams - cover the earth with paint.

Just down the street from our office is Green Works, Vancouver’s first retail outlet dedicated to selling eco friendly building supply products. Just recently a new store opened up beside Green Works which is just riddled with contradictions and is illustrated best in their absurd logo. Sherwin Williams Paints’ logo cheerfully suggests to COVER THE WORLD with their paint. When I asked Green Works about how they felt about their new neighbour, an employee said she saw the store in Mexico with a translated logo mark... so they really are trying to cover the world in their paint! Yuck! She also said it might just work in their favour because of the stark contrast of available products for people to put in their homes and therefore lungs.

I SAW THAT SIGN TOO

on a truck today in Austin, Texas. It disturbed me a little bit. I sent the company an exaggerated e-mail accusing them of a communist conspiracy to take over the world (tongue in cheek, naturally), but I still gotta wonder about it. Anyway. I just found your website by google searching. I wanted to see if other people were as disturbed by that logo as I was.
